Lights Across The Border Lighthouse Challenge, August 9th, 2008

The West Quoddy Head Light Keepers' Association (WQHLKA) is pleased to team up with the Friends of Little River Light and the Friends of Head Harbour Light to host the first ever Lights Across the Border Lighthouse Challenge to be held on August 9, 2008. The Lighthouse Challenge is to see or visit each of the five lighthouses in one day, while learning about the history of the beacons and the area you are visiting. At each lighthouse site there will be volunteers to tell you about the lighthouse and stamp the map that will be given out with each registration, to prove that participants were at each location. Then, those who complete the Challenge will receive a certificate of completion. The tower at West Quoddy will be open for tours. We hope you can join us for this special event. For the complete schedule and to find out how you can register please visit this link: www.littleriverlight.org and click on the Lights Across the Border Challenge Icon.

To cross from Canada into the United States you will need a photo ID AND a birth certificate OR a passport.
